sugar, baby…-Crazy Town

So it was after service, when Anne waved @ me indicating that she has something for me…

Immediately Sze Gion tried to stuff an envelope into my t-shirt, I knew what I was getting alreay.

It was actually a invitation to witness the couple to be exchanging their vows, rings, and also their pasts, and to share lives with each other.

I always feel quite honoured when my name is printed or written in letters. Well, except if it was a complaint letter or a “surat amaran” hehe.

img_3833

….

What I’ve got to say about these two?

Well they’re both really cute people haha. And also very fun to be with. I could already imagine how their 1st child will be like..

They’re both really kind and helpful people, and very friendly in person.

n704284516_1446187_8152

Read this in the invitation

“This day I will marry my best friend, the one who shares my dreams”

Hehe. Reminded me of this song, Angel-Shaggy.

Girl, you’re my angel, you’re my darling angel
Closer than my peeps you are to me, baby
Shorty, you’re my angel, you’re my darling angel
Girl, you’re my friend when I’m in need, baby

Yeah, congratulations both of you! God bless this relationship :)

img_3794

Had our 6I/05 little reunion today.

Can’t believe how someone can look so different and change so much in 3 years. And some, like me, don’t change at all. :)

This boy here posing with Anna Faris is Mr. Tan Hann Hsiang, he has not change a bit.

img_3799

Meet Edwin, I used to call him Edd.

He was my primary school best buddy. Until he left the class @ 2004/std 5.

We use to play lotsa crazy stuff every weekend together, with Hoe Kit who didn’t show up.

img_3798

Mr. Wong Xue Zheng, he was always the top student in my class, and never fail to get the number 1 position. Except for 1 time where Ms. Q Yee Lei “kai dou” beat him by a bit.

And guess what, now he’s the top student in one of the top schools in Singapore. Gosh… How do you maintain an active lifestyle?

img_3800

This is Grace… Grace Foong.

She used to be pretty plump and lovable. And now shock me her amazing cut down, what did highschool do to you :(

img_3803

Ng Schew Yee. we always played basketball together after Taekwondo on Saturdays. We would play till noon and get ourselves strong tans. I remember there was once when Hoe Kit literally bit her on the head during P.E. and was rushed to the nearest clinic. HAHA.

And voila, she’s in the Subang Utama school team now, got the school right?

img_3807

On the right is Jeffery, I call him by his Chinese name, Yi-En, or rather “Ian”

He’s one of the nicest friends around, he stands up for you when people talk behind your back, he’s got it covered for you =)

The sad thing is, he’s fall into the wrath of smoking. And I’m very skeptical about smokers, to see my friend being one of the many, I’m deeply disheartened.

:(

img_3796

I didn’t really enjoy myself. The buddy-buddy clique wasn’t there anymore, everyone has another life with another chain of friends behind and we can’t share so freely as we use to anymore.

I’m not surprised myself. It has been 3 years and probably lots of different stuff have happen to each individual. Some fell into addiction, some has gone to another level of social chain or another peg of knowledge already.

We don’t anymore, share the same teachers, same classroom, same friend chain, same canteen food, same school badge, or even the same old disgusting school toilet, not anymore.

And I don’t at all feel that comfortable being touched so simply and buddily by girls. Especially when Wen Kah treated me as that little boy in front of everyone,  just weird.

I’m taller than you now, and you don’t look like my bigger sister, so don’t =.=

We’ve all grown up so much, and I can say I don’t miss them anymore. We are all a different person now. I use to want to go back to primary, and it took me sometime to settle in this not-so-new life. But I’m good now.

But all was well, and I went home early for something else which is the post above this. =)

Suggestion: For reading pleasures, wait for all the pictures to load, grab your coffee, and then come back and read. The pictures are way to big I know, sorry =)

img_3400

So yeah, this post is a recapitulation[spelled correct?] on the whole of October and some of this month.

Ever since PMR and sickness and online games, I guess I need to update myself with what has pass.

We’ll start with PMR party @ Chai’s residence.

img_3419

It was particularly refreshing as it was held the night we finished the war. Had loads of cheap, simple fun I always look forward to =)

They gave us 5 minutes to express and release all the pressure and stress we had, with snow sprays, party strings, bursting balloons, blowing horns, shouting like an ape, the seniors joined along too but there were some people who felt intimidated and scared by our un-earthly act haha, who cares?

Had games games and games after that, which where prepared by Randall, really awesome!

Vicky made this potato thingy which she intended it to become potato salad, which in the end turned out as some really good mashed potatoes with bacon and some meat =D awesome magic Vic!

That was all I remember until I fell sick the next morning, hiaz =)

Moving On

img_3552

Had awesome futsal session with the buddies, had a bad “ball to the ball” crash architectured by Mr.Gan, and came home feeling loya and sick…

The event of the month:

img_3555

Welcome to Taiping

the land which sounds very familiar but nonetheless felt very alien there.

the food there was really funny. didn’t enjoy my breakfast much, gave Mark my Wan Tan Mee, a sip on my over-manis Iced Milo, and we’re off to the bottom of Maxwell Hill more commonly known as Bukit Larut.

img_3570

Say ” Maxwell Heeeel ” !!

So after discussing who to hit the tracks and who to roll with the jeeps, we kick-started our way with confidence and freshness of the polluted air.

img_3576

woo! off-road~

for now I will let the pictures blog for me.

img_3586

things may seem very straight here, I tell you, IT’S NOT!

we had to track through really steep and narrow paths with only ropes as supports.

img_3600

this young man here was the toughest among all of us =) serious!

anyway, at this point, there were 2 youths that gave up the off-road and wanted to hitch a ride up, so we went back to the roads, and started tracking on the roads, which were very monotonious, boring, and taxing.

SO DETOUR!

img_3602

from here, we’re about 4 hours up =)

img_3606

a groupie before we hit the roads.

img_3608

10 minutes up the boring roads, and guess what we found, water!!

really cool water, we washed our faces with it, and also refilled our bottles here.

img_3607

but according to Dr. Hock Soon, the water contains a lot of microorganisms and parasite which can be harmful.

Duh…. Don’t see me getting symptoms of hepatitis now huh?

img_3610

img_3616

So we splitted into 2 groups later, the faster ones were Uncle Mok, Uncle Hock Soon, Mark, John, and myself.

We reached to our “checkpoint” @ the tea garden, in which I found no signs of tea or free tea samples, I was quite disappointed.

I thought, at this point we’ve reached the place, but really, we are 2 hours from destination.

And 1 hour up, you guys tell me the story, I’ve got this cramp and all, I was troublesome, I know.

But I want to forget about that already, dummy up. Let’s GO!

img_3642

In the huge place we stayed, there was a Triple-Decker in every room. I slept on the lowest peg as my legs were still very aching.

img_3663

img_36651

You don’t mess with the Zach Siow.

img_3708

This is a picture without Andrew.

Now let me show you a picture with Andrew….

Slow…..

Slow….

Steady….

img_3707

there you go!

[i bet now you're scrolling up and down grinning]

…….ANYWAY………

img_3720

Good Morning Mr. & Mrs. Lee! the caretaker of the place.
img_3723

On my way down~~

img_3734

on my right is the doctor that taught me “The Way of Reversing-Cramps”

And that should sum up my trip to Taiping. =)

Other than that, we have a successful-broken surprise party for Joel Paul.

I feel bad, but I guess the church youths are already immune to outbreak of secrets and surprises.

Erm… cut the secrets part. =)

So my current life revolves around DotA, CoD 4, Red Alert 3[here I come], some football, and weekend basketball.

I’m going off to Singapore in 2 weeks, and I found out that the money I kept in my secret hiding-money book was gone. Of course I’m sad. I will have no money to get my gadgets there.

I’m left with RM 400 for 2 months and 2 trips overseas. Father, Father I need cash!

But I am looking forward =)

there you go, my eventful month-frshthzch.

aftermath.

I can play sports all I want.

And lastly…

#$@#!!@#$&^@[@#! PMR.

No. I loved PMR. It didn’t ended as I expected but I’m satisfied.

Whatever the results are, I’m just glad I took the exam =)

I shall end my posts of “Route to PMR” with tomorrow’s PMR Party post, I had just now. =)

spit me out

29 09 2008

lousy mood now. I’ve been blur for too long I guess.

and gaining conscience just makes you think too much.

and thinking too much makes you angsty.

and anxiousness causes emotional decomposition.

Yeah, I just gained conscience.

It’s not a bad thing though. Just that it doesn’t look that good now.

It feels like I just got thrown into some pot where you spit in, yeah, and somehow this is a very popular pot where people love to spit in? I’m covered with amylase, and I’m the starch that is being broken down into maltose and dextrin or whatever you call that.

I think we all have to go through that period where you feel like a total shitcake and everyone turns their back on you kind of thing. In my opinion, it’s some emotional process, just like the menstrual cycle.

You have happy times, when actually in the dark, pain is building up for the 28th day.

It makes you hate yourself, and will remind you of your past doings which are what I call damn stupid. And makes you say “Why did I say/did that”

Bugger, I think it’s a really bad time for me to have emotional problems which I don’t usually have right now. PMR is literally 13 days away. I don’t expect myself going in the hall/room with like stupid thoughts in my head.

I don’t solicitude anymore. Painstaking is now for my exams to concern, not bloody emotions.

by the way, fucking, according to dictionaries, not Oxford, is use as a colloquial intensifier. Not necessarily swearing or cursing? I was trying to type in fucking emotions,  but forget it. I don’t even use it when I speak. Don’t want to contaminate mengefake my internet profile.

I repeat, stop misreading me. I DON’T CURSE, AND I REALLY, FOR THE 10-HUNDREDTH TIME, HEREBY DARE TO SAY THAT I NEVER MEAN TO SWEAR OR CURSE ANYONE. DON’T BE SO SENSITIVE CAN?

but yeah, emotions sucks at times, but we don’t really appreciate happy moments till it ends, do we?

I often whine a lot during rainy seasons. but when the sun shines, I have the tendency to forget to thank God that I can play football in the evening.

So for this rainy Hari Raya Eid ul-Fitr season, I shall make a stand to stop whining @ other people that are whining about me. And choose to tolerate and understand why are people saying these things.

it’s funny how I use stereotype Hari Raya as Ketupat.

p/s: In any case I offended you whether in the physical, spiritual, or cyberspace, I shall take this opportunity to say this to you “maaf zahir dan batin, dan juga alam siber”.

Vaya con Dios, freshy, the Zach.

Joshua Chai, age 8 @ Chais residence.

Cell was good that night, I like it.

Shao Hen & Natalie’s wedding car @ City Harvest Church.

Had to prepare food for 200+ people for the ocassion, thank God for the family who helped alot, Phoebe and Mei Ruu, Joel Toh, David Chan, and of course Auntie Oi Leng, Diana, and Auntie Khoo for providing help =)

I didn’t do much la.

New sneakers @ Sunway Pyramid.

I’m not a fancy-dancy, stylo-mylo kind of person, so this is quite stylish liao for me, I would like to simplify it, but I like the colour combo, Blue, White, Red, just like the Drapeau tricolore, a.k.a French National flag. x)

I said I’m not buying Nikes, but this is for walking not running, Reebok is still in mind =)

Daniel Chai @ Sunway Pyramid.

Cool bassist of the Youth Band. hehe, he is aspiring to be as talented as Philip Chua @.@

Went to McD’s for lunch after that…

On the way there, Joel’s ring finger got burnt & blistered, I got static shocked from arm to chest, all in Asian Avenue, there’s some strange aura in this place that I don’t really like, makes me feel like getting out of there as soon as possible, except for the place that sells bubble tea, and Oyster Noodles.

Welcome to Zach’s “How to” series

How to make your own McShaker Fries

1. You either buy a McShaker Fries, or you buy a Large McValue Meal, they’ll give you this paper bag.

And also the McShaker powder along with your standard large fries.

By the way, behind is Joel Paul, a.k.a JPTYY, stuffing his ring finger into his coke, couldn’t stand the pain from the blister.

2. Pour in the fries.

3. Pour in the MSG.

4. Black pepper. This is optional to be added to your fries. You can grab these in any of the sauce & spices station you can find.

5. Shake! Best part =)

6. Pour it out and savour. This is also optional, but this is how I usually have my fries =) easier to share with friends, the more the merrier =)

Conclusion: I hope McDonalds doesn’t sue me for this, but I hated it, badly. Totally destroyed the awesome fries. The powder is just like those you would get in Mamee Monster, Diction or whatever snacks.

Sucks, especially when it starts turning cold. I’m sorry, I don’t like it.

Zach Mok. Kuala Selangor.

Went for a cool day night trip to Kuala Selangor. The moment we reach there, we could really smell rotten eggs. and bird/dog poo all around the parking area. We passed by a small part of the river and it smelled like human faeces.

I didn’t expect to meet anybody from anyone I know outside church there. But of all people it has to be Terrance Tan Form 4, SMK Seafield, Saxophonist, Electric Guitarist. His first words were “Mahai ah come here?” typical Terrance la =D. shook hands and I went off.

Then we move on to our destination-River View Restaurant. and walked by many many funny-funny smell punya shops. ugghh, lost appetite.

my table of people.

didn’t take photos of the food, cause it’s somewhat enjoyable. =)

Gilbert enjoying the view.

oil. dead fish. bad sight.

our beloved birthday girl lady, Aunty Jolene.

sorry Mak. you can hate me now. =) [blame flash]

save the Acheh tsunami children victims Happy Kuala Selangor kids playing rocks and BB guns =)

them.

-Final destination.

No more photos as of here. We might scare fireflies to death. but it was awesome. Quite exciting actually when Lynson started rocking the boat and leaning to the right. I was dead scared cause I can’t swim. And according to our firefly-man, it’s 60 feet deep! Jangan main-main”, he said.

But eventually, we got used to the water. and saw another boat from the same convoy. We shouted “IS DANIEL THERE?“. “NO!” was the reply from Daniel [smart]. then we shouted again “IS AUNTY JO[LENE] THERE?!?!?” Daniel replied “YES!

Then we sang the happy birthday song for her from the other side of the river.

So another boat came towards us as we head back to shore came. we shouted “IS AUNTY JO THERE?!?” in case Daniel Chai lied. the reply was a big “YES!” so then we sang the birthday song abit, again.

I looked at the guide, he was smiling away at our radical act. although the rule was “do not make noise”.

The 3rd time. Just to make sure, we shouted “ARE YOU THERE AUNTY JO?!?“. the Miss Caryn Wee shouted back “Shut up la Zach!” We sang anyway….

Big thanks to Jack, Suzanne, Caryn, Philip for putting this together. =)

I’ll talk about church, and how I did my Merdeka, later this afternoon. bye-freshy=)

p/s: the colour contrast is an attempt to make my blog more readable, but I guess I failed. Eye-soar abit la reading it.

Jesus You’re my Superhero.

26 07 2008

The Dark Knight was an awesome show. might watch another round tonight. and another on Wednesday. I don’t know. I’m addicted to it. as in Joker. he’s such a nice guy…

Batman wasn’t the star of the show in this movie. but when I watched it. it actually has alot of moral as well as biblical values in it. I won’t want to elaborate but it’s obvious on what I want to say [all my readers are smart people right?]

the 40-day fast and prayer is on.

and awesomely. a few youths including me, Suzanne, David, Jay, Yan Chi and Joel kick started this movement on Tuesday by meeting at my place at 6 a.m. sharp to pray.

Really awesome stuff to pray right before you go to school. God’s presence was so-so-so ON in my place that time.

at first we were like zombies sitting on the couch but as we started worshiping. wow, the anointing came to us like the Hawaiian waves. We continued doing this everyday and are going to do this until the 40th day comes.

Jay couldn’t join us, but I know he’s praying in his own time. He’s having difficulties, but I trust that God will make a way. Hell gates won’t prevail against our faith. I’m really positive about this =)

“I am pressed but not crushed,
Persecuted, not abandoned;
Struck down but not destroyed.
I am blessed beyond the curse,

For His promise will endure
that His joy’s gonna be my strength.
Though the sorrow may last for the night
His joy comes with the mornin’.”

This verse never seem so real to me until now.

Right now I just don’t want to be a hypocrite. and just be “holy” in church.

In school, I’m gonna get my attitudes right. stop being a teaser. stop throwing erasers on people’s head. stop humiliating people. and of course, start sharing =D

2 Corinthians chapter 4. that’s for you.[to read of course!] =)

zach’s official final wishlist for the year.

10 07 2008

I had lots of wish lists. and this is what I have in conclusion =)

First up in the list is the Gretsch White Falcon!! super awesome stuff, hollow body, with the cool cutting edge design from the 50’s. [someone say oo lala~]

cheapest cost is about US $3000 online. T_T [heartbreak]

well, since money grows on trees and all, even if I got the cash to get one, I would just keep it in a glass safe, and take it out to play when no one’s around. wouldn’t want to embarass the guitar with mediocre skills.

Second! is the lomo sisters! but the thing is, which one to get? Holga Lomo or Diana Lomo?

I mean, I love em’ both but I only can marry one at a time. [heartbreak 2]

Don’t cry for me Lomoholga/diana~~

Third… A Reebok running shoe. This is not what I exactly want, but the want I want is 10X sexier than this. seriously, I need to run alot now, accumulating fats @_@

I don’t want anymore expensive overrated Nike shoes which can open “alligator mouth” under 3 months.

Fourth~ What music lovers need, an iPOD.

I don’t need an iPOD touch whatsoever, just a ahem.. nano 8GB can satisfy me =)

Fifth> > > what’s an iPOD without awesome earphones.

these babies are called in-ear-monitors. =D

they can literally shut out certain frequency of sounds. but you can still hear your mother screaming at you to do your homework. excessive shutting out sounds are dangerous~ they cost about US $280?-walter guan’s fault.

finally, on my wishlist is the 7A1’s. for PMR.

getting this piece of fragile paper could earn me almost half of my wishlist or more.

hmmm…

I can’t possibly get all these on my own. So Father God, I commit this wish/need list into your hands. =)

anyone who would like to help me complete this list could kindly contact me. thanks!!

how to seek God 101.

23 06 2008

1. grab yourself a pair of binoculars.

2. look up.

3. and you’ll see some strong light shining at you.

4. try to take grip of it!

there you go! any enquiries? =D
